Jennifer Berne biography

Jennifer Berne is an American author known for her non-fiction picture books for children. Her work often explores the lives and achievements of notable figures in science and the arts. Berne’s books include Manfish: A Story of Jacques Cousteau, which introduces young readers to the life and work of the renowned oceanographer, and On a Beam of Light: A Story of Albert Einstein, which presents the story of the famous physicist. Both titles are illustrated by Eric Puybaret and Vladimir Radunsky, respectively.

Berne has also written Look Up with Me: Neil deGrasse Tyson: A Life Among the Stars, illustrated by Lorraine Nam, which profiles the astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson. Her books are published by imprints such as Chronicle Books and HarperCollins.

Jennifer Berne’s On a Beam of Light: A Story of Albert Einstein was published by Chronicle Books in 2013.
