Jackie Khalilieh is a Canadian author known for her work in young adult fiction. She is of Palestinian-Canadian heritage and has spoken about her experiences as an autistic person, which inform her writing. Khalilieh’s debut novel, Something More, was published by Tundra Books in 2023. The novel follows the story of a Palestinian-Canadian teenager navigating high school after receiving an autism diagnosis, drawing on Khalilieh’s own background and experiences.
Something More has been noted for its exploration of identity, friendship, and neurodiversity. The book has received attention from various literary outlets and was included in the American Booksellers Association’s Indies Introduce list for Summer/Fall 2023.
