Izumi Miyazono biography

Izumi Miyazono is a Japanese manga artist from Niigata Prefecture. She made her debut in 2005 with the one-shot “Shunmin Shōhōsen” (“A Prescription for Sleep”) in Petit Comic, and has since published primarily with that magazine and its associated Shogakukan imprints. Public profiles list her birthday as 7 September.

Miyazono’s best-known work is the romance series Totsuzen desuga, ashita kekkon shimasu (“Everyone’s Getting Married”), which began serialisation in Petit Comic in 2014 and was collected in nine volumes for the English-language market. The manga was adapted as a live-action television drama broadcast in Japan in 2017.

Her bibliography for Shogakukan also includes Ai nante oborenai, Mo ichido kare to, and the serial Fumin fukyū de yume toka koi toka, which started in 2021. In October 2022 she launched a further series in Petit Comic, Kekkon shimashō, koi suru mae ni. English editions of her work are published by Simon & Schuster/VIZ Media under the title Everyone’s Getting Married.

Miyazono continues to produce romance manga for adult and young adult readers, contributing new serials and collected volumes for mainstream Japanese publishers while maintaining an international readership through translated editions.
