Huw Lewis Jones is a British author, historian, and editor with a focus on exploration, the natural world, and visual storytelling. He has written and edited a range of books for children and adults, often collaborating with illustrators and artists. His work frequently explores themes of adventure, polar history, and wildlife.
Lewis Jones has held academic and curatorial positions, including serving as a lecturer at the University of Cambridge and as Curator of Art at the Scott Polar Research Institute. He has contributed to exhibitions and research projects related to exploration and the history of cartography.
Among his children’s books, Lewis Jones is known for titles such as Atlas of Explorers and The Big Book of the Blue, the latter illustrated by Yuval Zommer. He has also worked on the Bad Apple series, illustrated by Ben Sanders, which includes Bad Apple and Bad Apple: A Tale of Friendship, published by Thames & Hudson.
In 2022, Huw Lewis Jones published Blizzard: A Snowy Adventure, illustrated by Ben Sanders and released by Thames & Hudson.
