Hilary Robinson is a British children’s author and radio producer. She has written over 60 books for children, including picture books and fiction for early readers. Robinson is known for her collaborations with illustrators such as Nick Sharratt and Mandy Stanley. Her work often explores themes relevant to young children, including friendship, family, and historical events.
Robinson’s notable titles include Mixed Up Fairy Tales, illustrated by Nick Sharratt, and Where The Poppies Now Grow, illustrated by Martin Impey. Where The Poppies Now Grow was shortlisted for the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medals in 2015. She has also written the Gregory Goose series, illustrated by Mandy Stanley, which is designed for pre-school children.
In addition to her writing, Robinson has worked as a radio producer, contributing to educational and children’s programming. She has a background in media and has produced content for the BBC.
