Helen Ahpornsiri biography

Helen Ahpornsiri is a British author and illustrator known for her distinctive artwork created using pressed plants. She studied illustration at Falmouth University. Ahpornsiri’s creative process involves collecting, pressing, and arranging botanical materials to form intricate images, which are then used in her books.

Her debut book, EtchArt: Wild Oceans, was published by Laurence King Publishing. She is also the author and illustrator of Drawn from Nature, published by Big Picture Press in 2018. This book explores the changing seasons through detailed pressed plant illustrations. Ahpornsiri’s subsequent works include Drawn from Nature: A Journal and Amazing Animal Journeys, both published by Big Picture Press.

In 2020, she published Helen Ahpornsiri’s A Year in the Wild with Big Picture Press, further showcasing her unique approach to natural history illustration.
