Hannah Tolson biography

Hannah Tolson is a British illustrator known for her work in children’s books. She studied illustration at Falmouth University, graduating in 2015. Tolson’s illustration style is characterised by bold colours and playful compositions, often created using digital techniques.

Her portfolio includes collaborations with a range of publishers, including Little Tiger Press, Nosy Crow, and Oxford University Press. Tolson has illustrated several picture books, such as My Daddy is Hilarious (Little Tiger, 2022), written by Sophie Beer, and My Mummy is a Superhero (Little Tiger, 2022), also written by Sophie Beer. She has also illustrated Grandma’s Story (Nosy Crow, 2022), written by Moira Butterfield, and Grandpa’s Story (Nosy Crow, 2022), also by Moira Butterfield.

In addition to picture books, Tolson’s illustrations appear in educational titles and activity books. Her work has been featured in publications for children of various ages, supporting early learning and literacy.

Hannah Tolson’s recent projects include the illustration of My Daddy is Hilarious and My Mummy is a Superhero, both published by Little Tiger in 2022.
