Hannah Marshall is a New Zealand writer of young adult fiction. She completed an MA in Creative Writing at the International Institute of Modern Letters, Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington.
Marshall’s manuscript for her debut novel received the Storylines Tessa Duder Award in 2024, recognising an outstanding YA work by an unpublished writer. The novel, It’s a Bit More Complicated Than That, was subsequently acquired by Allen & Unwin for publication.
Her work has also been published in literary outlets associated with the International Institute of Modern Letters, and she has contributed to children’s and YA book culture in Aotearoa through reviewing and features.
