Fiona Carswell is a UK publicist and children’s author. She works in the Arts and Books sector, promoting books, prizes, festivals and cultural projects alongside her writing. Publisher biographies also note occasional contributions to the Scottish press.
Her debut picture book, The Boy Who Loves to Lick the Wind, illustrated by Yu Rong, was published by Otter-Barry Books in hardback on 7 March 2024 (ISBN 9781915659156). A United States edition followed from Reycraft Books on 14 May 2024. The story, told through a seaside playdate, introduces a friendship between two boys and presents neurodiversity with clarity for young readers.
Carswell continues to combine publishing communications with writing for children, developing projects for early years and primary classrooms.
