Her work often features themes of family, nature, and animals, appealing to young readers with its engaging and accessible style. Dodd’s illustrations are characterised by their bold lines and vibrant colours, which have become a signature aspect of her books.
Emma Dodd has worked with several major publishers, including Orchard Books, Templar Publishing, and Nosy Crow. Some of her notable works include I Love My Mummy, I Love My Daddy, and Forever. Her books have been translated into multiple languages, reaching a global audience.
Throughout her career, Dodd has received recognition for her contributions to children’s literature. Her book I Love My Mummy won the Booktrust Early Years Award in 2010.
