Emma Barnett is a British broadcaster and journalist. She worked at The Daily Telegraph, including as Digital Media Editor and Women Editor, before moving into radio presenting with LBC and later BBC Radio 5 Live, where she hosted weekday programmes.
From 2021 to 2024 she presented Woman’s Hour on BBC Radio 4. In 2024 she joined the presenting team of BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. She has also presented and appeared across UK current-affairs television, including BBC One’s Sunday Morning Live and BBC Two’s Newsnight.
Barnett is the author of Period. It’s About Bloody Time, published in 2019. She is also a co-founder of the Colour Your Streets colouring-book project.
In 2022 she won the Audio and Radio Industry Awards (ARIAS) Gold award for Best Speech Presenter.
