Elizabeth Jenner biography

Elizabeth Jenner is a British children’s writer and editor who works primarily in children’s non-fiction. She grew up on the Wirral and studied for a BA in English and Creative Writing at the University of Warwick.

After university, she began a career in publishing. Over more than fifteen years she has worked in roles including copy editing, structural editing, commissioning, liaison with illustrators, and project management for children’s and non-fiction titles.

Jenner is also a commissioning editor and selects titles for publication as well as writing her own books. She has authored works such as the Ladybird seasonal series (e.g. What to Look For in Spring, What to Look For in Autumn) and the adult novel The Magic Places.

In addition to writing and editing, Jenner is a certified yoga teacher. She is represented by the Curtis Brown literary agency.

A recent publication is The Magic Places, a novel published in 2017.
