Donette Williams-Harry is a children’s picture-book author. Born in London and of Caribbean descent, she has stated a commitment to supporting greater diversity in children’s books and to encouraging young readers to think creatively.
Her first title, Nay Nay Loves Unicorns, was published in February 2018. The book is credited with illustrations by J King.
Williams-Harry’s picture book Carnival Queen was published by Little Tiger on 5 June 2025, illustrated by Amélie-Anne Calmo. Bibliographic records list the ISBN 9781838917579, a paperback format, and an extent of 32 pages. A North American edition is published by Tiger Tales. Publisher descriptions note back matter introducing children to carnival traditions around the world.
Her work has been featured by libraries and schools in the UK, and she has contributed a blog post for the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education about using Carnival Queen to explore community celebrations in the classroom.
