Dominic Walliman is a British author and physicist known for writing educational books for children. He holds a PhD in quantum device physics. Walliman is the creator of the Professor Astro Cat series, which introduces scientific concepts to young readers. The series is illustrated by Ben Newman and published by Flying Eye Books.
The first book in the series, Professor Astro Cat’s Frontiers of Space, was published in 2013. Subsequent titles include Professor Astro Cat’s Atomic Adventure, Professor Astro Cat’s Intergalactic Activity Book, and Professor Astro Cat’s Human Body Odyssey. The books cover a range of topics, including space, physics, and the human body, aiming to make complex scientific ideas accessible to children.
Walliman’s work has been recognised for its clear explanations and engaging approach to science education. In 2017, Professor Astro Cat’s Atomic Adventure was published by Flying Eye Books.
