Diane Samuels is a British playwright and author for young people, best known for Kindertransport, a play that examines a child’s wartime journey and identity. The text has been studied widely in schools and performed internationally. Samuels has also written radio drama, picture books and collaborative works for theatre and education. Kindertransport premiered in the 1990s and remains a set text in many curricula.
