David Wojtowycz biography

David Wojtowycz is a British illustrator and author known for his work in children’s picture books. He studied at the Central School of Art and Design in London. Wojtowycz is recognised for his distinctive, vibrant illustration style, often featuring animals and playful characters.

He is well known for his collaborations with author Giles Andreae. Together, they created the popular Rumble in the Jungle and Commotion in the Ocean, both published by Orchard Books. Wojtowycz has also illustrated the Mad About series, which includes titles such as Mad About Minibeasts! and Mad About Dinosaurs!

In addition to his collaborative work, Wojtowycz has written and illustrated his own books. His solo titles include Elephant Joe Is a Spaceman! and Elephant Joe Is a Pirate!, both published by Alison Green Books.

David Wojtowycz’s illustrations are featured in Rumble in the Jungle, first published by Orchard Books in 1995.
