Claire Summerscale biography

Claire Summerscale is a British chess coach, author, editor, and radio broadcaster.

She writes about chess education and junior chess, and has contributed regularly to magazines such as The Right Move and the English Chess Federation Junior Magazine.

Summerscale has held roles with the English Chess Federation, including a period as Director of Junior Chess & Education.

She is also known from BBC Radio 4, where she has appeared as a presenter and commentator on chess-related topics.

One of her books is Chess, which provides instruction, strategy guidance and insights for new and intermediate players.
