Christie Matheson is an author and illustrator known for her work in children’s literature. She has written and illustrated several picture books, often focusing on themes of nature and interactivity. Matheson’s books encourage young readers to engage with the story through actions such as tapping, shaking, or blowing on the pages.

Her debut picture book as both author and illustrator, Tap the Magic Tree, was published by Greenwillow Books in 2013. The book invites children to participate in the story by performing simple actions that help a tree change through the seasons. Following this, Matheson created other interactive picture books including Touch the Brightest Star and Plant the Tiny Seed, both published by Greenwillow Books.
