Cat Weldon is a British author known for writing children’s fiction, particularly in the fantasy genre. She is the author of the How to Be a Hero trilogy, published by Macmillan Children’s Books. The series includes How to Be a Hero (2021), Land of Lost Things (2021), and A Trick of Time (2022). These books draw inspiration from Norse mythology and are aimed at middle-grade readers.
Weldon studied at the University of Winchester, where she completed a Master’s degree in Writing for Children. She has also worked as a scriptwriter for BBC Bitesize and CBeebies Radio. Her debut novel, How to Be a Hero, was published in January 2021. The trilogy has been noted for its humour and mythological themes.
Cat Weldon’s books are published by Macmillan Children’s Books. Her work has been featured in the Summer Reading Challenge and has received positive attention from educational and literary organisations. A Trick of Time, the final book in the trilogy, was published in July 2022.
