Carron Brown is a British children’s author known for her work on interactive non-fiction books. She is the creator and author of the Shine-a-Light series, published by Nosy Crow in partnership with the National Trust. The series includes titles such as Secrets of the Rainforest, Secrets of the Seashore, and On the Space Station. These books use a unique format that reveals hidden images when a light is shone behind each page.
Brown has collaborated with illustrators including Bee Johnson and Alyssa Nassner. Her books have been translated into multiple languages and are distributed internationally. The Shine-a-Light series has been recognised for its innovative approach to engaging children with science and nature topics.
