B Wheeler is an author of novels, short stories and occasional poems for children and young adults. Her work centres LGBTQ+ characters across middle-grade and YA fiction. She runs a student LGBTQ+ group at the school where she works in learning support.
In 2023 she was selected for Writing West Midlands’ Room 204 emerging writers programme, and since 2024 she has assisted at Spark writing workshops for teens. Her middle-grade manuscript Ripples From Otherland was shortlisted in the Cheshire Novel Prize Kids Competition 2025. Her short story “Fairy-Tale Ending” appeared in the Prom Perfect anthology in April 2025.
Wheeler’s debut novel, the YA romcom How Not to Kiss a Prince, is published by Hashtag BLAK (Hashtag Press). The story follows Em, whose best friend is cursed to become a hag, and the hunt for the right prince to break the spell.
