Anna Waterworth is a British children’s and young adult author who also writes under the names Anna Rainbow and Anna Day. She holds a degree in clinical psychology and practises in North East England.
She debuted in middle-grade adventure fiction with Diamond Jack: Your Magic or Your Life, published by Chicken House in January 2024 under the name Anna Rainbow.
Her earlier works under the name Anna Waterworth include The Girl Who Grew Wings (July 2023), a YA fantasy inspired by Greek mythology, and the Fandom duology—The Fandom and its sequel The Fandom Rising. Under the pen name Anna Day, she published the Antigua-set middle-grade adventure Antigua de Fortune of the High Seas.
Her writing has been sold in over 24 countries and appeared on the longlist for awards; Diamond Jack has been featured in schools and celebrated on World Book Day.
The most recent milestone in her career is the publication of Diamond Jack: Your Magic or Your Life in January 2024.
