Amy Jeffs is a British author and historian specialising in medieval studies. She holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Cambridge, where her research focused on medieval manuscripts and the visual culture of the period. Jeffs has worked at the British Library, contributing to projects related to medieval art and literature.
Her debut book, Storyland: A New Mythology of Britain, was published by Quercus in 2021. The book explores British myths and legends, drawing on medieval sources and her academic background to retell traditional stories. Storyland features original illustrations by Jeffs, reflecting her expertise in medieval imagery.
In 2022, Jeffs published Wild: Tales from Early Medieval Britain, also with Quercus. This work continues her exploration of early British history and storytelling, presenting tales inspired by the landscape and literature of the period.
In 2022, Storyland was shortlisted for the Waterstones Book of the Year award.
