Allison Saft is an American author known for writing young adult fantasy novels. Her debut novel, Down Comes the Night, was published by Wednesday Books in March 2021. The book received a starred review from Kirkus Reviews and was recognised for its gothic atmosphere and romantic elements.
Saft’s second novel, A Far Wilder Magic, was released by Wednesday Books in March 2022. The novel was longlisted for the 2022 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature. It was also named a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection.
Her third novel, A Fragile Enchantment, was published by Wednesday Books in January 2024. Saft’s works are published in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Saft holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame. Her books have been translated into multiple languages. A Far Wilder Magic was longlisted for the 2022 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature.
