Recommended reading books for primary & secondary aged children in the UK
Alice Primmer is a British children’s author and children’s book editor. She studied at the University of York and attended Aylesbury High School.
Her earlier children’s publishing includes the Usborne sticker title First Sticker Book Jungle (Usborne Publishing Ltd, 1 September 2014), illustrated by Federica Iossa.
Primmer wrote the middle-grade comic novel The World’s Worst Alien, illustrated by Fred Blunt and published by Walker Books on 5 June 2025. Walker Books’ author note describes her as a children’s book editor who has worked on books including Greg Jenner’s You Are History.
