Competitions for Children

A regularly updated list of writing, speaking, reading, and other literacy-related competitions open to children in primary and secondary schools in the UK. These include story and prose writing, poetry, recital, public speaking, debating, and filmmaking contests. The competitions listed on this site are mainly aimed at children in the UK, although there are a few exceptions. Please check the competition details on each website to be sure of the entry requirements.
