Maggie Freeman is a children’s author whose work spans early-reading fiction and non-fiction. She has written for structured reading programmes and literacy series used in primary classrooms, contributing concise, accessible texts for developing readers.
Her titles for Ransom Publishing’s Reading Stars include Dragon Island, Decorating Sabir’s Room, Jumpers and The Mouse and the Magic Socks. For Collins Big Cat she wrote the non-fiction reader Building High, a report on scaffolding that supports cross-curricular links and includes a glossary for comprehension.
Freeman has also written historical fiction for older readers and adults, with novels including Girl in the Great House, Daughter of the Sea and The Clock-Mender.
