Julia Liu biography

Julia Liu is a Taiwanese children’s author and editor. Publisher sources note that she has worked as an editor of children’s fiction at several of Taiwan’s largest publishers and has written picture books, illustrated biographies of Einstein and Archimedes, and a collection of fairy tales.

Liu’s work reached English-language readers through Gecko Press with the Leilong stories, illustrated by Bei Lynn and translated by Helen Wang. Titles include Leilong the Library Bus, in which an enthusiastic dinosaur discovers the joys and challenges of visiting a city library, and Leilong’s Too Long!, a companion story about a brontosaurus whose size causes everyday complications.

Leilong the Library Bus was published in English on 3 August 2021, and Leilong’s Too Long! followed on 2 August 2022.
