Joerg Muehle biography

Joerg Muehle is a German author and illustrator known for his work in children’s literature. He studied at the Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main and the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris. Muehle has illustrated and written several picture books, with his work often characterised by simple, engaging illustrations and interactive elements designed for young children.

He is best known for the board book series featuring the character Little Rabbit. The first book in the series, Tickle My Ears, was originally published in Germany and later released in English by Gecko Press. The series encourages young readers to participate in the story through actions such as tickling, stroking, or tucking in the character. Other titles in the series include Bathtime for Little Rabbit and Poor Little Rabbit!

Muehle’s books have been published internationally and are noted for their appeal to toddlers and pre-school children. His work has been published in English by Gecko Press. In 2017, Tickle My Ears was included in the White Ravens list by the International Youth Library.
