Bridget Marzo biography

Bridget Marzo is a British-French author and illustrator of children’s books. She has created and illustrated numerous picture books, including Tiz and Ott’s Big Draw, published by Tate Publishing in 2016. Her work often explores themes of creativity and artistic expression for young readers.

Marzo has illustrated books for a range of publishers, including Walker Books, Macmillan, and Oxford University Press. Her illustrations appear in titles such as Mini Racer by Kristy Dempsey and You, Me and Everyone by Susan Verde. She has also contributed to anthologies and educational materials for children.

Marzo served as the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY) UK Illustrator in Residence in 2015. She has been involved with the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), serving as the first International Illustrator Coordinator.

Her book Tiz and Ott’s Big Draw was shortlisted for the English 4-11 Picture Book Awards in 2017. Marzo’s illustrations have been exhibited at venues including the British Library and the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.

In 2015, she was awarded the D.P. Eccleshare Award for her contribution to children’s literature through illustration.
