Amy Goldsmith is an English author specialising in young‑adult horror fiction. She grew up on the south coast of England and became fascinated by obscure 1970s horror films and antiquarian ghost stories. She read Psychology at the University of Sussex before gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, after which she taught English in inner London.
Goldsmith’s debut novel, Those We Drown, was published by Delacorte Press on 27 June 2023. The book is set on a luxury cruise ship and combines supernatural suspense with a missing‑person mystery.
Her second novel, Our Wicked Histories, was released in July 2024. It centres on a teenage girl attending a Halloween weekend at an ancestral Irish mansion and incorporates gothic and folk‑horror elements.
Her third novel, Predatory Natures, is scheduled for release on 8 July 2025. In it, a teenage girl takes a summer job aboard a luxury train, only to encounter a greenhouse carrying mysterious and possibly dangerous plant life.
Goldsmith continues working as a teacher and remains based on the south coast of England. Her work combines psychological depth with atmospheric horror rooted in setting and folklore.
Predatory Natures is due to be published on 8 July 2025 by Delacorte Press.
