Hey kids! Have you ever dreamt of going on a long journey? Perhaps it is an exciting adventure far from home, or it could even be to Mars or Pluto! We have titled this issue “Great Journeys”, because we chart the voyages of some of the greatest explorers of our time (p.36). The likes of Marco Polo, Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great travelled from their hometowns into unknown territory in Asia, only to carve their names in history. In Spectacular Pilgrimages (p.10), we see how colourful some of Asia’s religious festivals can be, from Thaipusam to Good Friday to Vesak Day - and how far devotees are willing to embark on their great spiritual journeys. I’m a parent and my kids are in Lower Primary ages 7-9. I feel that the English and content is appropriate for their age group, but can we please have more games!
